VALL COVID Protocols

While there has been amazing progress toward mass vaccinations and we begin opening up again, let's remain diligent about keeping ourselves and most importantly, our kids safe until all restrictions are lifted. The following is the VALL COVID protocols we request you and your players abide by. We're all looking forward to a fantastic season of Little League baseball and can't wait to see you all!


Spectator Protocols
  • Masks are advised to be worn at all times when attending games at any park (except when eating or drinking)
  • Social distancing (6 feet) shall be in place at all times
  • Adherence to ALL county and state Youth Sports Guidelines is required
  • Anyone who exhibits any illness symptoms will be advised to stay home to avoid any spread of such illness
  • Spectators are encouraged to bring their own seating.  Limited seating will be available on the bleachers.
  • Players, managers, coaches and spectators should vacate the field/facility as soon as reasonably possible after the conclusion of the games to minimize unnecessary contact.
Practice Protocols
  • Temperature checks shall be conducted for every player before stepping onto the field
  • Masks are not required if practicing social distancing (6 feet) while on the field
  • Players and coaches are advised to wear a mask/gaiter while in the dugout and at any time social distancing cannot be met
  • No food, seeds, gum or spitting are allowed in the dugouts
  • Players shall use their own equipment and not share (bats, helmets, and gloves). Catcher’s mask must be sanitized between uses. Disinfectant spray/wipes will be provided for every teams’ gear bags.
  • Players and coaches shall bring their own hydration.  Sharing of drinks is not encouraged.
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be set up on each field (at Vista Sports Park) for players to utilize.
Game Protocols

  • Home and Away teams will enter the field through the respective gates
  • Masks are not required if practicing social distancing (6 feet) while on the field
  • Players and coaches are advised to wear a mask/gaiter while in the dugout and at any time social distancing cannot be met
  • No food, seeds, gum or spitting are allowed in the dugouts
  • Players shall use their own equipment and not share (bats, helmets, and gloves). Catcher’s mask must be sanitized between uses.
  • Players and coaches shall bring their own hydration.  Sharing of drinks is not encouraged.
  • Foul balls retrieved by spectators shall be sanitized before entering play
  • Pitchers shall not go to their mouth. If so, “TIME” shall be called, pitcher must sanitized and a new ball shall be inserted in the game
  • Ensure social distancing during Umpire/Coach conferences
  • No “after game” handshakes permitted; recommend tipping of the hat or salute
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be set up on each field (at Vista Sports Park) for players to utilize
  • Disinfectant spray will be provided for each field (2 per field - 1 for each dugout) and managers will be required to spray down the dugout once game has ended
  • Spectators are not permitted near the dugouts

**If any player has allergies of any kind to disinfectant spray/wipes, please inform your team parent right away**
